Beatrijs Vanacker
Associate Professor in French literature and Comparative literature, KU Leuven
I am an Associate Professor at KU Leuven, Belgium, where I teach courses on French and European literature and literary translation theory.
My research interests focus on the history of translation and multilingualism, (female) authorship, and the relationship between literature and cultural identity formation in the long eighteenth century.
I am currently (co-)supervising two projects on multilingual periodicals and translators' visibilities, funded by the Research Foundation –Flanders and KU Leuven Research Fund.
From 2019 until 2023 I was an elected member of the Flemish Young Academy.
